The babies were at the crib, and I was strapped to a baby to my back. Ha! We were getting close to being done, yet we were a long way off. It would take an enormous amount of effort and shopping my favorite interiors to decorate this place. To stay within my budget I took my kids with me to look for treasures in estate sales. Our routine for the week was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through garage and estate sales buying a mixture of old and new pieces and then I would spend on weekdays painting and sanding the driveway. It was a bit like it... This is when my interest in the restoration of furniture first began. When our home was fully furnished, I could not stop! There was a place at the local markets that I could sell my items. It was possible to expand the market because I had many more pieces than I could use. I hosted open houses at my residence where 1 000 people could visit during a weekend. visitors could buy anything from the first floor. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. As my business flourished as did our family. There was a perfect balance between starting a business and becoming a mother. Growing Days was the obvious option. Nora was born in 2013 and became our fourth baby. My business was booming but I was in need of a break. I decided to step back and stay at home, with my family. It was time. After a few minutes the phone started ringing. I was getting calls from people needing help with their interior decorating and home renovations. These people had mostly attended my house during the open houses to purchase furniture. I started taking on some clients at a time working at my own pace however it wasn't for long to have multiple accounts and was running the complete business of home remodeling. You would probably have made me laugh if I had told you that this would become the basis of a DIY Network tv series. Actually I still kind of smile when I think about it.
