April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 in seventh grade. She began playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons which ignited her passion for music writing. When she was in seventh grade she began to take guitar and piano classes. The lessons sparked her passion to write songs. The singer spent much of her time at 14 composing songs and experimenting with music. Then, she began to take trips across NY and LA along with her dad to help them to write songs. April also added additional themes to the tune "Take My Hand" for a few of her acquaintances who faced problems like peer pressure, disabilities, and even teenager suicide. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer as well as working in partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia, has built a large following. She was not born having a left-handed hand, which is what makes her what she is. But that's far from the full story. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on her Instagram account, but she doesn't make it the focus of her story. What message is it trying to convey? It's crucial to understand that everyone has numerous faces. Our identities are varied and we're more than our bodies. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance should define my character. My goal is not to be an influencer on disabilities because I've got so much more to offer." It doesn't impact my daily living. I continue to do my normal activities and have adapted to my disability. It's also part of me, so I believe it's essential to discuss. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Still she admits she's gone through phases of her body, at times, not being confident in wearing specific types of clothes showing off her arms. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wants and posts pictures on Facebook with pride. Self-love she said is a process. "I don't think you will ever be in that place," she said. This is true for everyone, no matter what their levels of anxiety. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly understand you and can see your heart is really important as they'll be the ones that remind you of what are you concerned about?
