Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was first person to reach a flawless 10 on an Olympic event. Comaneci was spotted by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was six years old. Comaneci participated for the first time in the national junior championships. She finished 13th. In the following year, she became champion. She took home three golds at her very first contest at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 for communist bloc countries. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. In her very first competition at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals aswell with one silver. The first female to ever successfully complete a backwards double salto after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. The shows featured ice skating which included stage performances.
