Dwayne has served as the head pastor of Wellspring Church since 2007. He started the church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also serves as director of Pastoral Care of the Acts 29 Network. Dwayne is also a believer for training the next generation Biblical counselors. He serves as a member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition's Board.
